These Earth Day themed Roll and Cover mats are the perfect way to reinforce number sense, number recognition, counting, and independence during the month of April or just to celebrate Earth Day. Great for kindergarten math stations, math centers, small groups, or just for fun!
Students can roll 1 or 2 dice and cover up the number rolled. They can play alone with the aim of the game to cover all numbers, or take turns playing against a friend who has their own mat to see who can cover all their numbers first.
As some added fun, I add a timer to the station to see if students can cover all their numbers in x amount of minutes!
