Winter Break Reading Log & Journal is a great resource to send home with students over the long winter break! We all want our students to rest and enjoy the holidays over the winter break, but it is also important for them to spend time reading and writing. Use this Winter Break Reading Log & Journal to encourage students to continue practicing these skills over the break!

Each journal page has a place for students to record the date, book read, time spent reading, and number of pages read. There is also a place for them to write a summary of what they read and another space for them to journal. Each day has a different topic for students to write about. Journal topics include writing about the various things they are doing over the break, favorite winter activities, and creative writing pieces with a winter theme. For teachers who just want their students to practice reading over the break, a reading log is included for students to record the date, what they read, and how long they read. There is also a place for an adult to sign, confirming the student actually did read that day.
