This activity allows your students to practice differentiating between adjectives and adverbs in sentences. Choose between the print version and the TpT Digital Easel version.
PRINT CRAFTIVITY VERSION- Students are given two worksheets filled with apples. Each apple contains a complete sentence with an underlined word. If the underlined word is an adjective, they color the apple red. If the underlined word is an adverb, they color the apple green. When they have completed the worksheets, students assemble the craftivity. They create two baskets, cut out the apples, and then place the apples in the correct basket.
Student-friendly directions are included so that you can place the directions under your document camera, and students can refer to them as they complete the project. (An answer key is also included.)
TPT DIGITAL EASEL VERSION- This is a paperless version that can be completed on a device. Each slide contains two apples with the same sentence written on them. If the underlined word in the sentence is an adverb, they move the green apple to the adverb basket. If the underlined word on the sentence is an adjective, they move the red apple to the adjective basket.
